{% hint style="info" %}

{% endhint %}

### Data and tables

Select **Data** to view your organization’s databases. A database contains one or more tables used to store information collected, displayed, or updated by Applets.

Select a database name to see the tables contained within it.

You will create the database and table for this tutorial in the next guide.

### Suites

Select **Suites** to view and manage your organization’s Suites.

A Suite groups one or more Applets together so they can be assigned and made available to users. The Suites page also shows information such as the number of assigned devices and the Suite’s enrollment barcode.

### The Account menu

Select the arrow beside **Account** to expand the account-related menu.

| ------------------ | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Subscription** | View subscription ownership, tier, and expiration information. |
| **Licenses** | View available and assigned licenses and their expiration dates. |
| **Admin** | Manage Web Users and Device Users. |
| **Developer** | Access API setup, API logs, and the API guide. |
| **Account** | View the account tier, expiration, storage, processing, upload limits, and enabled access options. |
| **Profile** | View your company and user information or change your password. |
| **Get Mobile App** | Display the download QR code and download the DC Works Android APK. |

Some of these options are administrative and will not be required during the initial Applet tutorial.

### Web Users and Device Users

DC Works distinguishes users by how they run Suites and Applets:

* **Web Users** run Suites and Applets through the DC Works Web App in a compatible web browser. This allows DC Works to run on Windows PCs, Macs, Apple mobile devices, and other supported browser-based platforms.
* **Device Users** run Suites and Applets through the native DC Works application installed directly on an Android device, without using a web browser.

These user types describe the Applet runtime method. They are not related to access to the DC Works Designer.

User administration will be covered in detail in the **Administration** section.

### Account information and signing out

The name of your organization appears in the upper-right area of the Designer, along with your user name.

To safely end your session, select **Sign out** in the upper-right corner.

Always sign out when using DC Works from a shared computer.

### Software version

The current DC Works version appears near the bottom of the left navigation menu. This information may be useful when reviewing release notes or requesting technical support.

### Next step

Continue to **Create a Database and Table** to create the data structure for your first Applet.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.amltd.com/dc-works/getting-started/sign-in-and-explore-the-designer.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
